Our Children Never Forget
Before Spanish Class
After Spanish Class
We’ve all heard of the Proverbs wife, one that I’m married to by the way. But have you heard of the Proverbs parents? Proverbs parents give teaching and guidance to their children. So in the spirit of the Proverbs here are “garlands to grace your head and a chain to grace your neck.”
Our children never forget the primary reason why we are in this sun scorched land. We may help the poor, provide Bibles, extend hospitality, share the gospel, host teams, bring light against the darkness, do loving acts of kindness; but first and foremost, we are here to give worship to the Lamb of God. Service may come and go, people may be receptive or apathetic, the days may be up and down, but every day we are able to rise up and praise Him.
Think of it this way, as a worshipper, you are a dot. We have the privilege to be dots in a foreign country. Each day God connects the dots throughout the world creating a beautiful and intricate design. In eternity we will watch as God unrolls this canvas and displays the glory of His praise.
We have opportunity to practice Psalms 57:9-10, “I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.” So never forget our children that, first and foremost, we are here to give praise to our Lord.

Thanks for the challenge for me--a parent. West Virginia is definitely missing every single one of you.
